We're really amped about our new Locals Only draft series, which celebrates our fans across California with regional collaborations made at each of our satellite breweries. Every other month of 2019, our brewers Kevin, Ryan, and James, are each teaming up with regional brewery pals to collaborate on a project just for their town. Catch these collabs while you can, because these waves of draft-only specialties are only around for a little while!
For the first beer in our Locals Only series, our Westlake Village brewer Ryan Hensley teamed up with the great team at Latitude 33 to make a Hazy IPL just for San Diego. This beer has been named "I Used to Surf," and is made with tropical-inspired, citrusy hops and a full textured malt profile pitted with flaked oats, torrified wheat, and flaked rye. Waves are good, but life gets busy, and all parties involved used to surf more often. Maybe this will be a good excuse to pin a few more SD surf days onto the calendar?
I Used to Surf was made for Locals Only, so head down to San Diego, or one of our taprooms, to take in some sun and suds. Each of our taproom locations will receive only TWO! kegs of this beer, so it will go fast! If you're looking for more, ask for Figueroa Mountain's I Used to Surf Hazy IPL in San Diego from mid-February to March.
