Today, we are enhancing our Figueroa Mountain Brewing taprooms with a more local drinking experience. Introducing four house beers now available at our Westlake Village, Arroyo Grande, Santa Barbara and Buellton locations!
While all of our taprooms serve #CentralCoastCraft, each of them will now offer a signature local flavor - with their own signature beer. Using our four neighborhoods as the source of inspiration, our head brewers have created recipes that capture something special about their local communities, and are available regularly at their respective taproom.
Here is what's on tap at our four brewing locations:
Party Starter (Buellton)
6.7% ABV, 58 IBU
The mood is set. The music is thumping. You need something to set the party off. Cue the hops! You are definitely glad you invited your hoppy friends Simcoe, Mosaic, and Amarillo. They bring the intense citrusy, dank, grapefruit-orange vibe that the party desperately needed. Mosaic keeps the tropical fruit level up in high decibels to make sure our Buellton neighbors know. Clash a pint and get the party started.
Bishop Peak (Arroyo Grande)
7% ABV, 35 IBU
Bishop Peak is a 1,546-foot volcanic plug in nearby San Luis Obispo, California. It is the tallest of the Morros or "Nine Sisters", a chain of similar peaks stretching to Morro Bay. It's one of our favorite local hikes, an instant getaway above the clouds. To commemorate the outdoor journey, head brewer James created a classic West Coast IPA, very pale with low bitterness. Aroma of Citrus and Tropical fruit makes Bishop's Peak a flavorful, hoppy experience that refreshes your senses like the great outdoors.
Leo Carrillo (Westlake Village)
6.7% ABV, 45 IBU
Leo Carrillo is one of our favorite surf destinations in the nearby Malibu area. It's only fitting that we brew a beer that captures the good vibes of this local surf gem. Fortunately, head brewer Ryan is not only a quality brewer, but also an avid surfer. Leo Carrillo is an American Wheat IPA with roasted grapefruit rinds. A dry, west coast IPA with lots of tropical citrus notes and subtle yeast character and malt body is the perfect beer to enjoy after a good surf session.
Funk Zone Session (Santa Barbara)
4.8% ABV, 35 IBU
Everyone knows the "Funk Zone" can be a little different than your usual Santa Barbara spot, so we wanted to make a beer to celebrate the Funk Zone's unique identity. Hoppy and low in alcohol, this beer combines drinkability and bright aromatic character from the use of Citra and Ekuanot hops.
